The conference “Images of Power in Roman Africa: The Mausoleums of Ghirza and the Political Affirmation of the Principes Gentium (XVI century] III-V)”, given by Professor Belchior Monteiro Lima Neto, from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES) Brazil, is carried out within the framework of the project entitled “History and Archaeology in Ancient Africa: new historiographical perspectives from the excavations in the Maghreb and the Sahara”, of which he is the principal investigator.

This conference is organized and supported by the Archaeology Unit and the Department of History, in collaboration with Lab2PT/IN2Past, under the responsibility of Maria do Carmo Ribeiro, Fernanda Magalhães and Helena Carvalho.
