The Master’s Degree in Product and Service Design, together with the Degree in Product Design, from the School of Architecture, Art and Design of the University of Minho, will promote the 1st Symposium on Product and Service Design in Portugal, which will take place at the Couros Campus , Guimarães Design Institute (IDEGUI), in Guimarães, on February 12, 2025.

This event aims to provide an opportunity for students, academics and professionals from the Product and/or Service Design industry to come together, reflect on the guidelines of what is best thought and designed in Portugal, the best practices and innovations developed, and identify opportunities. of collaboration and new areas of professional activity, highlighting design as a driver of innovation and competitiveness.

The opening session will be held by Prof. Doctor Paulo Cruz, President of the School of Architecture, Art and Design of the University of Minho, and will have as speakers the following prominent national designers: Fernando Brízio (Fernando Brízio Atelier), Filipe Lima (Deus company), João Martins (Flama company); Monica Santos Studio; Carlos Mello (Main Guilty company).

The Symposium takes place with the support of Lab2PT, and is organized by Sílvia Soares (Coordination and General Curatorship) and Eduardo Noronha.
