The SHARE meetings are bi-monthly seminars created, coordinated, and held by doctoral students enrolled in the third cycle of studies at the School of Architecture, Art and Design of the University of Minho / Lab2PT. Besides being an opportunity for doctorate students to meet, each session enables a doctoral student to present the progress of their research and receive contributions from their peers.

 

 

#34 SHARE.EAAD Architecture PhD students | Sayings and Writings

This session is part of the winter season and focuses on the collective dialog around the writing processes and moments of exhibition and presentation of the research of EAAD doctoral students.

 

Sayings and writings explores the subjects of academic production beyond the object and final work of the doctoral thesis. The communication and presentation of work go along with research and are expressed in various events, formats and results. In this session, the discussion will be centred on these experiences, approaches, proposals, processes, successes and failures in the moments of external exposure of a predominantly individual effort. Firstly, participants are invited to briefly share a particular experience, focusing on its various aspects: the management process, from funding to application; the intellectual process, from the production, preparation and organisation of material; the human process, from difficulties to benefits. Finally, there will be room for questions and sharing based on a collective discussion.
