#37 SHARE.EAAD | Lucas Carneiro | Synthesis and meaning. Narratives of the Iberian serpent through architecture
The SHARE meetings are bi-monthly seminars created, coordinated, and held by doctoral students enrolled in the third cycle of studies at the School of Architecture, Art and Design of the University of Minho / Lab2PT. Besides being an opportunity for doctorate students to meet, each session enables a doctoral student to present the progress of their research and receive contributions from their peers.
#37 SHARE.EAAD Lucas Carneiro | Synthesis and meaning. Narratives of the Iberian serpent through architecture
This session is part of the winter season and counts with the presentation by doctoral student Lucas Carneiro.
Abstract:
The aim of an academic research proposal as part of a doctoral program implies a final product. This production, although it does not require the conclusion and resolution of the issues under discussion, must be grounded in an articulated discourse that clearly communicates the successes and frustrations of the research. This presentation addresses the structuring principles behind this discourse at the intersection of an architectural perspective and the symbolism of the serpent, particularly in its Iberian manifestations. It focuses on the documents, narratives and objects under study through a plural set of disciplines, methods, case studies and approaches.
