On 16 January 2025, between 2pm and 4.45pm (mainland Portugal time), an international seminar will be held by the group História Social a Norte.

The aim of this meeting is to bring together, in a single session, internationally important personalities working on the theme of slavery during the early modern period.

 

The 7th edition of ‘Como?’ will feature Christine Walker (University of Hong Kong, China), Arlindo Manuel Caldeira (CHAM – FCSH/NOVA – UAç, Portugal) and Luiz Geraldo Silva (Federal University of Paraná, Brazil). Maria Marta Lobo de Araújo and Luís Gonçalves Ferreira (University of Minho, Lab2PT/IN2PAST, Portugal) will moderate. This seminar will take place via Zoom/Colibri and will be broadcast in the Sala de Atos of the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho (Gualtar campus).

 

Entrance is free.

Participation certificates will be issued to those who request them.
