Mini-course "Speaking of kings and their power. Numidian monetary iconography between the 3rd and 1st centuries BC."
On May 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., a 4-hour mini-course will be held at the Library of the Archaeology Unit of UMinho, aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students of History and Archaeology, under the theme “Speaking of kings and their power. Numidian monetary iconography between the 3rd and 1st centuries BC.”, taught by Doctor Cristina Kormikiari, from the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology of the University of São Paulo, Brazil, as part of the project entitled “History and Archaeology in Ancient Africa: new historiographical perspectives based on excavations in the Maghreb and the Sahara”, of which she is a researcher.
This MINI-COURSE is organized and supported by the Archaeology Unit and the Department of History, in collaboration with Lab2PT/IN2Past, under the coordination of Maria do Carmo Ribeiro and Fernanda Magalhães.
It will take place at the facilities of the Archaeology Unit of the University of Minho, located in the Congregados Building, at Avenida Central, nº 100, between 2 pm and 6 pm.
