The article “Water Resources and Tourism in Water-Scarce Regions: The Case of the Algarve and the Alentejo Coast (Portugal)”, authored by Hélder Silva Lopes, researcher integrated in Lab2PT and Professor at the Department of Geography, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho, and co-authored with Helena Albuquerque, from Universidade Portucalense, and Isabel Paiva, from the University of Coimbra, was distinguished with the Best Scientific Communication Award at the international conference DSOTT 2025 – Diversity & Sustainability: Opportunities and Threats in Tourism, in the section “Climate change, water resources and sustainability”.
