European Archaeology Conference | D. Diogo de Sousa Archaeology Museum and Lab2PT

The European Archaeology Days (JEA) in 2025 will take place from 13 to 15 June and have as their theme “The whole world in each one of us”.
The D. Diogo de Sousa Archaeology Museum celebrates Archaeology and Archaeological Heritage together with Lab2PT/IN2PAST, developing the activity Discovering the Roman Geira: A Journey of Archaeology and Nature, in collaboration with the projects Cultur-Monts Sudoe and BracaViae – Paisagens Viárias: A Geira Romana na Serra do Gerês.
Visit to the Roman Geira / Via XVIII, in the Mata Nacional de Albergaria, in the heart of the Peneda-Gerês Natural Park – June 14th
Recognizing that the preservation of archaeological heritage is strengthened by its dissemination, based on knowledge resulting from research, the D. Diogo de Sousa Archaeology Museum promotes this activity in collaboration with Lab2PT. The activity includes two ecological trails of approximately 4 km each, allowing an immersion in the landscape and history of the region.
To complement the experience, a visit to the Geira Museum is planned in the afternoon.

Duration: approximately 9 hours.
