Liliana Neves wins the award "Dr. João Eulálio Peixoto de Almeida"

Liliana Neves, Doutor in History at the University of Minho in the specialization of Modern History, member of the Social History group in the North and Collaborating Researcher of Lab2PT/IN2PAST was the winner of the “Dr. João Eulálio Peixoto de Almeida” award, attributed to the recognition of his study “Caring and receiving. A presença de peregrinos e viajantes nas Santas Casas de Misericórdia do Norte de Portugal (séculos XVII e XVIII)”.
The biennial award, attributed by the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Braga, with a pecuniary value of 1500 euros, highlights the historical research and homage to the memory of João Eulálio Peixoto de Almeida, provedor da instituição between 1976 and 1978.
The ceremony of delivery of the premium will decorate on February 8, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., in Palácio do Raio, in Braga. The event will feature a conference given by the award-winning and another by the Historian Ofélia Rey Castelão, Catedratic Professor of the University of Santiago de Compostela.
