This is a proposal from the supplement The evolution of the Hospital and Health Governance: between the local and the global, from volume 31, 2024, of the magazine História, Ciências, Saúde – Manguinhos.

Organized by guest editors Isabel Amaral, from the Interuniversity Center for the History of Science and Technology, from the New Faculty of Science and Technology of Lisbon, Alexandra Esteves do Lab2PT/IN2PAST, from the University of Minho, Braga (Portugal), and Céline Paillette, from the University Paris 1 -Panthéon Sorbonne, the HCS-Manguinhos special explores the “complex interaction between local and global influences, cultural and socio-political changes and progress in scientific and technological knowledge, in in short, the multiple meanings of global health management”.
