This Workshop offers a practical introduction to the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with a focus on the management and enhancement of cultural heritage. Essential knowledge will be covered to effectively use QGIS to organize spatial data and produce maps.

Professors: Emilio Abad Vidal (Supercomputing Center of Galicia, CESGA), Natália Botica (UAUM, Lab2PT/IN2PAST, UMinho) and Hélder Lopes (Lab2PT/IN2PAST/UMinho)
Target audience: Students, Technicians and Researchers in the areas of Heritage, Archaeology, Architecture, Geography, Geology and History.
Each participant must bring their notebook, where they will carry out practical exercises with the QGIS software.

- On Friday, May 23, we will contact those admitted to send the necessary materials and all instructions regarding the course.
- The course will begin on Monday, May 26, at the library facilities of the UMinho Archaeology Unit.
