REVIVE - the colors from the Royal Textile Factory of Covilhã, 1764-1850 a public history approach at the Lanifícios (Wool) Museum
The open lecture series “Practices in Public History” consists of a total of five conferences that will take place between March and May 2024, in collaboration with the Laboratory of History seminar of the Master in History at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho. The sessions will be led by guests with diverse backgrounds in the field of historical knowledge transfer, who have been developing practices in Public History and/or Citizen Science.
The cycle is organized and supported by the History Department, in collaboration with Lab2PT/IN2Past, under the responsibility of Joana Sequeira and Francisco Azevedo Mendes.
The last session of the open lecture series “Practices in Public History” is entitled “REVIVE – the colors from the Royal Textile Factory of Covilhã, 1764-1850 a public history approach at the Lanifícios (Wool) Museum” and will be conducted by Rita Salvado, Professor at the Department of Textile Science and Technology of the University of Beira Interior and Director of the Lanifícios (Wool) Museum. It will take place on May 2, 2024, in the Laboratory of History room at the Institute of Social Sciences (University of Minho, Gualtar Campus) between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
