The Oblique Think Tank #3 | Scratching the Earth's Skin [Curating and Repair]
The Oblique Think Tank is the annual research meeting started in 2019 and coordinated by Inês Moreira that promotes collective thinking on territories that face difficulties, accidents and tensions. The think tank invites contributions from research led by artistic and curatorial practice, as well as perspectives by citizen, activist and/or other technical inquiries.
June 2022´s meeting has as guests Maurício Meireles (Brazil), Susana Gaudêncio (Portugal) and Aneta Szylak (Poland), whose works intersects experimental readings of the human and technological impacts of industrialized extraction, proposing contextual approaches to curatorial work and new possibilities of repair, remediation and resignification of specific sites.
The meeting is part of Lab2PT’s new line of research in Visual Arts, Ecologies: Curating and Repair and is preceded, on June 7, by a work session with Master’s and Doctoral dissertations in progress at several Portuguese Universities.
