Project Title
Compatibility between acoustic shading and solar shading for a more sustainable urban form
Abstract
The purpose of the study is to reduce energy consumption and reduce noise disruption while meeting the goals of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, namely to respond and integrate climate change measures into policies, strategies and national planning. Climate change influences the quality of life and it is closely linked to the comfort (thermal and acoustic) of each city, so sustainable development requires planning that is efficient in managing natural and built resources. One of the objectives of the study is to find out which urban forms simultaneously fit a compromise between thermal and acoustic optimization (in compliance with national housing regulations and European directives). On the other hand, it aims to validate the proposed model, in a case study, applying the premises and the minimum and maximum national regulatory requirements and simulate scenarios and variations to the parameters of the selected urban forms in order to ascertain their thermal and acoustic efficiency. in a given panorama / context. Finally, it is hoped that the study in question could encourage a sustainable planning strategy linking thermal efficiency with acoustic efficiency in order to reduce the energy needs of the building, which has a significant impact on national and European energy consumption.
