2018 - ISLA: integrated approaches to sharing knowledge on social inclusion systems of migrants and the role of EU Local Authorities
ISLA project, starting from the analysis of the conditions of availability of the Europen population involved, to share and accept the welcome as a process of integration heralding opportunities for the community, has also contributed in terms of civic participation, sharing and openness, mutual understanding and idalogue among citizens. The project activities strengthened the communication attitute of citizens participanting and improved the information system in terms of strategies and tools accessible to citizens. Moreover made the citizens more aware of the migration policies and local phenomenon.Among the main achievements:- Review of the reception system of European countries. In particular, the 4 participating countries Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Portugal collected data and information regarding the mutual reception system, collecting diversified models and policies. As a result, this action had a research report on the reception system of the 4 countries. These models were shared during the first international conference- Mapping and description of the communication methods, strategies and tools that each country adopts in information about the migration phenomenon. As a result of this action, a comparative report of good practices conducted between the 4 partner countries of the project, aimed at highlighting specific communication processes in relations with foreigners and virtuous methods of interaction- Descriptive analysis of systems of interaction with foreigners for each individual country with particular reference to the actions of active citizenship promoted by individual countries, in particular with reference to volunteering- List of practices and methods that emerged from previous works (realized by single countries and shared) and drafting of recommendations that emerged as lessons learnt for each individual experience discussed during the events.Each of the actions mentioned above also resulted in the creation of a public transnational event, in the presence of representatives of the individual partner countries and other subjects from other countries.
