2023 - BeFRAIL Porto in Times of Cholera and War: A bioarchaeological approach to human fragility
It focuses on the study of health and illness inferred through the study of an archaeological context and associated collection. The context refers to the hospital cemetery of the Third Order of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, in Porto (Portugal), whose occupation spans the years 1801 to 1869: years of cholera and war in Portugal. This collection has a significant collection made up of diverse material culture and a significant set of human biological remains.
