The call for abstracts for the SLIC Conference – Sustainable Lighting International Conference , to be held at the University of Aveiro on October 10th and 11th, 2025, is open until July 18th.

This scientific conference is promoted by the Celeste project – Public luminaire for the prevention of light pollution, funded by the “la Caixa” Foundation under the “Promove. The Future of the Interior” program, and coordinated by Lab2PT/IN2PAST integrated researcher Eduardo Noronha, at the University of Aveiro.

The event aims to bring together leading researchers, industry professionals and policy makers, to explore the latest advances in sustainable lighting technologies, light pollution mitigation and their impacts on urban and natural environments.

Topics considered include, but are not limited to:
• Light pollution and dark sky-friendly lighting solutions
• Smart and energy-efficient lighting technologies
• Sustainable materials and circular design in lighting
• Lighting design projects
• Human-centered and adaptive lighting strategies
