The III Ibero-American Congress of Social Studies of Armed Conflicts (CIESCA) aims to promote the presentation, discussion, and sharing of issues related to violence, conflict, and war, currently approached by various social disciplines.
Lab2PT/IN2PAST researchers Rebeca Blanco-Rotea, Tiago Rodrigues and João Cabeleira are coordinating Thematic Session 18, “Landscapes of Historical Conflicts: Materiality, Memory, and Representation in the Context of a Border War” in which the key questions are posed: What landscapes remain from historical conflicts in border areas or that gave rise to borders? and How do we study them in a transdisciplinary way?
The call for papers for this thematic session is open until June 30, 2026, and must be submitted by completing this form.
