CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS
Gender, Production and Care from a Transhistorical Perspective
The Conference on Gender, Production and Care from a Transhistorical Perspective will be held at the Museo do Pobo Galego in Santiago de Compostela. This is an international congress, which includes the collaboration of Portuguese researchers from Lab2PT and the Archaeology Unit of the University of Minho, as well as Spanish researchers from different universities in the State.
This initiative aims to rethink the rural world, domestic production and care from a gender and interdisciplinary perspective.
The activity is funded by the Ministry of Equality and the Women’s Institute of the Government of Spain.
In order to broaden participation and enrich academic dialogue, a call for papers and projects related to the rural world from a gender and transhistorical perspective is open until May 13, 2026. The organization therefore encourages all interested parties to participate and disseminate their research and projects. In this way, these conferences establish themselves as a meeting space between archaeology, history, and anthropology to rethink the past from new perspectives and link academic research to fundamental debates of the present.
