The 1st International Congress on the History of Health and Care is a prominent event that brings together health professionals, professors, researchers and students from areas of knowledge as diverse as Nursing, History, Medicine, Sociology, Philosophy, Psychology and Communication.

The Congress will be held between May 22nd and 23rd, 2025, at the University of Minho, in an online format. Associated with it, and with the aim of deepening some themes and providing some dynamism, there will be a Pre-Congress, which will consecrate a set of 8 webinars from April 2 to May 21, 2025, on wednesdays, from 6pm to 8pm.

As spaces for debate and sharing of reflections, the Congress and Pre-Congress propose the discussion of the multiple interdisciplinary dimensions of the history of health and care. It is therefore important to prioritize recent and innovative approaches that contribute to reinforcing knowledge on this topic.

Valuing linguistic diversity and the plurality of forms of communication, free communications, conferences and other interventions may be presented in Portuguese, English or Spanish, but the sessions will not have simultaneous translation.

 

Abstracts for free communications may be submitted here until April 30th.
