Registration is open for the IV Human Rights Academy – “The territory is yours, the voice is yours”.

The IV Human Rights Academy will take place between September 7th and 12th, 2026, in Braganza, under the theme “The territory is yours, the voice is yours”, promoting reflection and action around the challenges and opportunities for youth in rural territories.

 

Over six days, participants will have the opportunity to:

• Develop fieldwork in contact with the local community;

• Participate in sessions with researchers and specialists;

• Integrate group dynamics and civic participation activities;

• Co-create proposals for the territory and collaborate in the elaboration of a Manifesto for Rural Territories.

 

The Academy is aimed at higher education students and provides an interdisciplinary experience that combines scientific knowledge, direct contact with the territory, and the development of personal and professional skills.

 

The initiative is promoted by the Transmontana Association for Development (ATPD), in partnership with EAPN Portugal – Bragança District Nucleus and the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB), and counts on the scientific collaboration of IS-UP, Lab2PT (Professor Bernardo Providência) and inED.

The initiative is aimed at higher education students in the areas of Social Sciences and Education, Design, Architecture or related fields.
