RiMS. Research in Medieval Studies. An International Meeting Series. Domestic spaces and household consumption in Europe, 1000-1500
The Research in Medieval Studies (RiMS) is conceived of as an ongoing series of yearly meetings whose aim is to bring scholars of different academic and geographical backgrounds together to open, or otherwise continue and direct, historiographical debate on key issues in medieval studies, while helping to establish outstanding research that is both innovative and comparative. The fourth RiMS meeting, taking place in Braga, at the University of Minho, will gather around the subject of domestic spaces and household consumption in Europe from the 11th to the 16th centuries, a period in which domestic goods multiplied and served as indicators of both economic and social power.
