The fifth HSN group congress will bring together researchers from different fields to discuss topics related to the History of the modern and contemporary periods.

The program includes 15 presentations distributed across four sessions. Each session opens space for debates that intersect diverse perspectives, ranging from family dynamics and forms of assistance to the study of heritage, social transformations, and experiences in the Atlantic world. With more than two decades of activity and 50 researchers, the HSN group has contributed to the development of Social History in academic terms through the scientific output of its members, expressed in the publication of books, book chapters, and scientific articles, as well as in the organization of congresses and other initiatives with national and international impact. It has also collaborated in promoting and disseminating historical knowledge among local, regional, national, and international communities by participating in various projects and activities. Annually, the group meets at a congress in order to bring its members closer together by questioning the results of ongoing research.
