DESIGN COMMIT 2026 - 2nd International Conference on Design & Industry
March 25-27, 2026 | District C, Guimarães, Portugal
The call for papers for DESIGN COMMIT 2026, the second International Conference on Design & Industry, will take place in Guimarães from March 25 to 27, 2026, and is open until July 30, 2025.
The theme of the 2026 edition is Design for Different Futures, Learning with Nature, with the aim of producing advances in the dialogue between design, industry, nature and society.
In a rapidly transforming world, DESIGN COMMIT 2026 breaks boundaries, fostering a dynamic relationship between design, industry, and nature. This global platform brings together visionary researchers, pioneering designers, creative academics, forward-thinking companies, and policymakers. The theme ‘Design for Different Futures | Learning with Nature’ calls for integrating nature’s intelligence into design and industry. We seek to reimagine a future where creativity, responsibility, and resilience shape a world in harmony with nature.
DESIGN COMMIT 2026 is committed to redefining the role of design as a force for sustainability, inclusion, and resilience. We challenge conventional models, exploring nature-inspired solutions, biomimicry, and circular economy principles to drive innovation.
The edition aligns with the UN 2030 Agenda and promotes regenerative practices, ethical production, and technological responsibility.
