Permanent International Seminar História Social a Norte: How? Sharing History
On 18 April 2024, between 2pm and 5.15pm (mainland Portugal time), an international seminar will be held by the group História Social a Norte. The aim of this meeting is to bring together, in a single session, international personalities who use history as a vehicle for artistic creation.
The sixth edition of ” How?” will feature Pedro Álvarez Molina (specialist in librarianship and archivistics; documentalist for the series “La Peste” and other historical productions for streaming, television and cinema), Andrea Arcuri (historian and author of the comic strip “Sacromonte. Confesores”) and Manuela Gonzaga (historian, writer and poet; author of the novel “Aqualtune. The Princess of the Congo” and of historical biographies). The discussion will be chaired by Maria Marta Lobo de Araújo and Alexandra Esteves (University of Minho, Portugal).
This seminar will take place via Zoom/Colibri and will be broadcast in the Sala de Atos of the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho (Gualtar campus).
Admission is free.
Participation certificates will be issued to those who request them.
