Oficina de tinturaria natural
On the 5th and 6th of April, will be held a “oficina de tinturaria natural” with Lala de Dios, art historian (Complutense University of Madrid).
On April the 5th, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the authorial work and research that artist Lala de Diós has been developing, within the scope of the Technology Curricular Unit IV, of the Degree in Visual Arts of the University of Minho.
On April the 6th, will take place the “oficina de tinturaria” on natural dyes, with the aim of underlining their importance and applicability in the universe of textile art. It will be a moment of sharing between researchers, artists and young artists who are interested in the art of dyeing.

Lala de Dios, art historian (Complutense University of Madrid) by training and weaver, dyer and textile activist by vocation. In 1981 founded the Indigo Estudio Textil in Madrid, where teaches courses in weaving, spinning and dyeing, combining this pedagogical work with the design and production of collections of hand-woven fashion accessories, interior textiles, especially rugs, and lengths of fabric for fashion stylists. Has participated in development cooperation projects in several countries in Africa and South America, whom enriched global perspective of textile practice.
Has given master classes and lectures at universities and museums and curated exhibitions of textile art, design and crafts, both in Spain and abroad. Co-founder and current President of Asociación de Creadores Textiles de Madrid and of Oficio y arte, Organización de Artesanos de España and member of the Advisory Board of the European Textile Network, an organization chaired from 1995 to 2019.
