WORKSHOP: Living Lab Heritage & Society: Theoretical and methodological background for co-constructing heritage knowledge with the local community
23rd to 27th June 2025 | 9am-12.30pm and 2.30pm-5.30pm | Extremo, Arcos de Valdevez + Online
This proposal, led by the University of Minho, in collaboration with the universities of Leipzig and Granada, aims to use the village of Extremo (Arcos de Valdevez, Portugal) as a living laboratory, building on previous archaeological work, memory and heritage analysis and community-based research.
The workshop Living Lab Heritage & Society: Theoretical and methodological background for co-constructing heritage knowledge with the local community will allow students, teachers and researchers to engage with the local community, addressing local development issues through co-creation and collaborative knowledge building, focusing on cultural heritage and agrarian landscape.
The experience will be reinforced by the contribution and experience of professors/researchers from the ARQUS network – Universities of Minho, Granada and Leipzig-, and from other universities such as A Coruña and Oviedo, both in Spain.
The workshop will be developed in Blended mode, being the mornings in situ transmitted in streaming, and the afternoons will be developed in the field, with the recording of the open classes and their subsequent upload to the ARQUS channels and those of the Universities involved.
Registration is required.
