Workshop: Methodologies for Assessing Vulnerability and Potential for Adaptation to Climate Change
On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the Workshop on Methodologies for Assessing Vulnerability and Adaptation Potential to Climate Change will take place, dedicated to methodologies and tools for analyzing vulnerability and adaptation capacity to climate change, with practical application to urban and territorial contexts.
The training will be conducted by Professor Diego Tarley Nascimento (Federal University of Goiás, Brazil), with recognized experience in the development and application of indicators and methodologies for climate assessment and adaptation in urban areas.
The session will be divided into two training parts:
- 9 am–12 pm – Calculation of climate trend and extreme event indices
- 2 pm–6 pm – Assessment of adaptive capacity to climate change using the Urban Adaptation Index (UAI)
Target audience: students, teachers, researchers, technicians, and the general public interested in the areas of Geography, Planning, Environment, Civil Protection, Earth Sciences, Sustainability, and related topics, offering an opportunity to update and deepen skills with a strong applied component.
Participation is free, but places are limited to a maximum of 25 participants.
