The University of Beira Interior and the University of Minho have signed a tripartite agreement for institutional cooperation for the implementation and development of the European scientific project InterPED — Regenerating Intermediate Territories through Positive Energy Districts.
The project was approved in a European competition, on a competitive basis (Driving Urban Transitions), and subsequently submitted to the national funding procedure foreseen by the CCDR Centro (CENTRO2030).
The University of Beira Interior is the beneficiary and host institution of the project, being responsible for its administrative, financial and reporting management.
Under the agreement, the University of Minho institutionally frames the participation of Andreia Garcia (Assistant Professor at EAAD and integrated researcher at Lab2PT) as Principal Investigator, thus ensuring the continuity of the national scientific coordination of the InterPED project.
InterPED investigates processes of regeneration of intermediate territories through Positive Energy Districts, articulating energy transition, built environment, territorial resources and community involvement.
