Yesterday, July 16, 2026, was presented in Ponte de Lima the work on the History of Ponte de Lima, composed of three volumes “From the Neolithic to the Middle Ages”; “In the Modern Age (15th – 18th centuries)” and “In the Contemporary Era (19th – 20th centuries)“, coordinated by Professor and Integrated Researcher of Lab2PT/IN2PAST Alexandra Esteves and Professor Doctor José Cândido de Oliveira Martins.

 

The work brings together the contributions of numerous researchers from different areas of knowledge, constituting an important repository of research on the history of Ponte de Lima over the centuries.

Among the Lab2PT researchers who participated in the construction of the work are Alexandra Esteves, coordinator of the work and author, Ana Bettencourt; Luciano Vilas Boas, Maria do Carmo Franco Ribeiro, Fernanda Magalhães, Diego Machado, Joana Sequeira, Mário Farelo, Liliana Neves, Maria João Pires, Ângela Calisto and Bruno Madeira.
