At a time when public health continues to challenge societies, the Libraries of the University of Minho and ICS invite you to look to the past to better understand the present.
In this open lecture, given by Professor Marta Lobo, a full professor and integrated researcher at Lab2PT/IN2PAST, the main epidemics that occurred in Braga in the 18th century will be explored, addressing topics such as the environment, public and private hygiene, the response of local authorities, the role of religion, assistance systems, and the impacts of mortality in a growing city.
