Coinciding with the AR-PA Cultural Tourism Fair, this year sees the celebration of the AR-PA 2025 International Congress on Cultural Heritage, dedicated to the theme ‘In the middle of the countryside’, which focuses on archaeological assets or monuments located far from large population centres, in order to analyse their conservation, study and management. On Saturday morning, at the round table dedicated to Medieval and Post-Medieval Archaeology, lab2PT researcher Rebeca Blanco-Rotea will present the work carried out in Extremo (Arcos de Valdevez), analysing the fortified and agricultural landscape and how it has been approached by archaeology in the community.
