Our Collections Matter – ICCROM Network
The first projects developed by the IN2PAST research network as part of the Our Collections Matter (OCM) initiative, launched by ICCROM – International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property – last October, have now been announced.
Coordinated in Portugal by IN2PAST and Museus e Monumentos de Portugal, the main objective of OCM is to accelerate, expand and intensify actions that promote sustainable development through the management, use and conservation of collections, whether they be museum, archival, bibliographic, community, religious, digital, seed banks or biobanks.
The work carried out by researchers and PhD students at the IN2PAST Associated Laboratory actively contributes to various sustainable development goals, demonstrating science’s contribution to society and to the 5 Pillars of the 2030 Agenda: Planet, People, Prosperity, Partnerships and Peace.
