The book Streets of Silence and Penance: The Ecce Homo Procession of the Misericórdia of Braga, by Professor and Integrated researcher Marta Lobo de Araújo, will be presented on April 18, 2026, at 3 pm, at the Church of the Misericórdia of Braga.
This work portrays the history and symbolism of the Ecce Homo Procession, one of the most emblematic and solemn moments of Holy Week in Braga.

Through this research, the author explores the importance of this religious event organized by the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Braga, highlighting the institution’s role in its preservation over the years.

 

The presentation will be given by Professor and integrated researcher of Lab2PT/IN2PAST Francisco Mendes.
