Rui Vieira de Castro, António Lázaro and Emília Dias awarded by the Chinese Embassy in Portugal | Outstanding Contribution Award for China-Portugal Educational Exchange

Rui Vieira de Castro, António Lázaro (integrated researcher in Lab2PT/IN2PAST) and Emília Dias awarded this weekend by the Chinese Embassy in Portugal with the “Outstanding Contribution Award for China-Portugal Educational Exchange”, an acknowledgment that recognizes their central role and significant impact in strengthening educational and cultural relations between China and Portugal.
Rui Vieira de Castro, Rector of UMinho, António Lázaro, Director of the UMinho Confucius Institute, and Emília Dias, UMinho professor and coordinator of the Chinese in Schools teaching project, were the honorees in this event that highlights the collaborative effort and dedication of the University and its representatives in promoting educational and cultural exchange between the two countries.
The award ceremony, which took place in Lisbon, not only highlighted UMinho’s notable contribution to promoting bilateral exchange, but also served to recognize the talent of students in the 3rd Edition of the “Ambassador of China” Scholarship. Daniel Freire and Aira Nosolini were the UMinho students who were honored with this scholarship, highlighting the merit and commitment of the students in the study of the Chinese language and culture.
