The Portuguese Cultur-Monts teams, led by Helena Carvalho (Lab2PT – In2PAST) and Sónia Almeida (ADERE-PG), attended the second working meeting of the Interreg Sudoe Cultur-Monts project, “Valorization of Mountain Cultural Landscapes: a resource for sustainable territorial development’, which took place from June 2 to 5 in the Babia Biosphere Reserve (León, Cantabrian Mountains), one of five pilot cases under study. The host partners, INCIPIT-CSIC and the Babia Biosphere Reserve, provided all Consortium beneficiaries, including ICAC-CERCA, the main beneficiary, with a remarkable program. The program was divided between meetings and field trips to the representative sites of Babia´s unique mountain landscape. Among other initiatives, the sessions aimed to present and launch Working Group 2 (WG2), which is dedicated to recovering and enhancing senior knowledge about traditional practices and oral memory associated with mountain cultural landscapes.
