On March 26, 2026, at 6 pm, there will be an open lecture entitled “The Municipal Archaeology of Braga”, given by António Pereira, archaeologist from the Archaeology Unit of the Braga City Council and researcher at Lab2PT/IN2PAST, within the scope of the Curricular Unit Archaeology and Urban History, of the Master’s degree in Archaeology at UMinho.

This initiative is part of the scientific and pedagogical activities of the Master’s program in Archaeology at the Department of History of the ICS (Institute of Social Sciences), and aims to present the challenges and methodologies of archaeology in an urban context, as well as its articulation with city planning, scientific research, and the dissemination of heritage to the community.

This open lecture is organized by the History Department of ICS, in collaboration with Lab2PT/IN2PAST, under the coordination of Maria do Carmo Ribeiro.
