Demonising the enemy: approaches, narratives and representations of anticommunism
On April 10th, at 2 pm, there will be an open lecture entitled “Demonising the enemy: approaches, narratives and representations of anticommunism”, given by researcher Patrícia Freitas (FLUP), as part of the History of Presente Time course unit.
Synopsis: A reflection on the concept of anti-communism, based on its political, cultural, social and discursive manifestations. An analysis of historiographical approaches and the forms that anti-communism has taken from the mid-19th century to the present day.
This open lecture is organized by the History Department of ICS, in collaboration with Lab2PT/IN2PAST, under the coordination of Bruno Madeira.
