Diplomacy and Identity in the 18th Dynasty of Ancient Egypt: the hapiru in Amarna Letters
On November 10th, at 6 pm, there will be an open lecture entitled “Diplomacy and Identity in the 18th Dynasty of Ancient Egypt: the Hapiru in the Amarna Letters”, given by archaeologist Cláudia Barros as part of the Ancient Civilizations course unit of the 1st year of the Bachelor’s degree in History and Archaeology.
Biographical note:
Cláudia Barros holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Archaeology from the University of Minho and is currently pursuing her PhD in Cultural Studies at ELACH/UMinho.
She is an integrated member of the Luso-Asian Studies Group and the Transcultural Studies Center, linked to the Center for Humanistic Studies of the University of Minho (GELA/NETCULT/CEHUM).
This initiative is intended for undergraduate students in History and Archaeology, as well as all other interested parties.
This open lecture is organized by the History Department of ICS, in collaboration with Lab2PT/IN2PAST, and coordinated by Diego Machado.
