Open class "Metodologías de la Arqueología de la Arquitectura y la Historia del Arte en el studio de un convento mendicante: Santa Clara de Pontevedra (Galicia)"
On March 13, 2026, at 11 am, there will be an open lecture entitled “Methodologies of the Archaeology of Architecture and Art History in the Study of a Mendicant Convent: Santa Clara de Pontevedra (Galicia)”, given by Professor Victoriano Nodar Fernández, from the Department of History, Art and Geography, Faculty of History, University of Vigo.
This initiative is part of the scientific and pedagogical activities of the Master’s program in Archaeology at the Department of History of the ICS, aiming to provide students and the academic community with direct contact with interdisciplinary methodologies applied to the study of medieval religious architecture, articulating the Archaeology of Architecture with the History of Art, based on a particularly relevant case study in the Galician context: the mendicant convent of Santa Clara de Pontevedra.
This open lecture is organized by the History Department of ICS, in collaboration with Lab2PT/IN2PAST, under the coordination of Rebeca Blanco-Rotea and Maria do Carmo Ribeiro.
