Call for papers for the Journal "If it walks like a duck and it talks like a duck, it’s a duck" | JOURNAL #11
Submission deadline extension - January 31, 2026

The call for submissions for the Journal If it walks like a duck and it talks like a duck, it’s a duck | JOURNAL #11 is now open.
We invite you to reflect on walking as an aesthetic, political, and ecological practice that reconfigures our relationship with space. Walking is also a form of reading—a sensory and temporal reading of the landscape—and, simultaneously, a writing in motion that inscribes the body in the territory. Contributions can take various forms: critical texts, visual narratives, journey diaries, maps, graphic scores, or other experimental exercises in displacement and attention.
Journal #11 will be launched in April 2026 and will be edited by Susana Gaudêncio (EAAD/UMinho/Lab2PT). For this issue, LiDA and ESAD.CR | IPLeiria will work in partnership with Lab2PT.
