The submission period for research project proposals for the UMinho Scientific Research Initiation Award – 2026 is now open.

 

Research Centers must submit project proposals by February 20th by completing and sending this form to the email address premio-iic@reitoria.uminho.pt.

 

The list of students selected by the Research Centers to develop each of the projects validated by the Award managers must be sent by March 20th, using this form to the same email address premio-iic@reitoria.uminho.pt

 

The list of the two projects selected by each Research Center for the final public presentation by the students who developed them must be sent by September 11th, accompanied by their respective reports, prepared according to this form, to the email address premio-iic@reitoria.uminho.pt

 

The date for the public presentation of the projects will be October 9, 2026.

 

A maximum of 31 UMinho Prizes for Initiation in Scientific Research will be awarded, corresponding to one prize for each of the University’s Research Centers, with a unit value of five hundred (500) euros.

The management of the Prize is the responsibility of the Vice-Rector for Research and Scientific Policy and the Vice-Rector for Education and Academic Organization.
