From the intersection of transdisciplinary and tresmalhar (losing one’s way) comes Transmalhar, a project by Anda&Fala – Associação Cultural (São Miguel) which, through artistic practices and walks, explores the relationship we establish with the territories we inhabit. Each Transmalhar is different and they all promote encounters, dialogue and artistic experimentation between people, and between them and the spaces that surround them.

On November 23rd, Transmalhar takes place for the first time in Guimarães, with the support of walk.Lab2Pt. At this meeting we invite everyone (no age limit) to challenge the algorithms and rhythms imposed by digital technologies. Looking closely, digital has profoundly conditioned human interactions and relationships – ‘dating apps’ and social networks, for example, are means of virtual connection between people. Its use “shortens” distances and can even change our perception of time. Given this, we will explore alternative forms of pairing through artistic experiences guided by the artistic team (Helena Oliveira and Rita Serra e Silva) and accompanied by young Transmalhadas.
