Heritage Conversations Series
The Heritage Conversations series was created with the purpose of creating a space for transdisciplinary dialogue, open to different perspectives and experiences on what we understand as heritage. More than academic meetings, it is a place for sharing and collective reflection, where researchers, professionals, students, and the community come together around common themes.
There will be 13 sessions, each dedicated to a specific dimension of heritage, crossing different areas of knowledge and experiences: from the challenges of climate change to the appreciation of artistic, natural, religious, and industrial heritage; from the tangible to the intangible; from the digital to gastronomic expressions; From archives and documents to festivities, and even covering issues of migration, identity, and literature.
This diversity of themes reflects the very richness of heritage, understood here as a living and constantly transforming element that spans past, present, and future. The series thus seeks to build bridges between areas of knowledge and different audiences, inviting each participant to view heritage as an integral part of their own reality.
The cycle features interventions by Lab2PT/IN2PAST researchers Rebeca Blanco-Rotea (October 2: Building heritage with society. Reflections and challenges), Hélder Lopes (October 9: Between Memory and Future: Heritage, Landscape and Climate Change), Márcia Oliveira (December 4: Living Library: Between Memory, Knowledge and Community).
Free entry with prior registration.
