INTERVIEW PROF. LEAL GOMES

This Wednesday, 18 March, Professor Leal Gomes was interviewed by Radiotelevizija Slovenija – RTV SLO, a public broadcaster in Slovenia.
This broadcaster produces programmes for two Slovenian television channels, two regional television channels, two television channels for the Italian and Hungarian national communities, and operates three national radio stations, two regional radio programmes and a radio programme for foreign nationals.

The purpose of his visit was to conduct an interview on the topic of lithium supply in Portugal, taking into account the research focus within Lab2PT, the factors determining the extraction of ‘hard-rock lithium’ in Portugal, and considering that, within Slovenia’s sphere of influence, there are prospects for the utilisation of metallic lithium, if not at the level of extraction then at least as a potential marketing platform in Central Europe.
During the interview, they showed particular interest in Portugal’s perspective on the technological limitations imposed on actual mining production, due to the typical characteristics of the mineral deposits and lithium ores found in Portugal.
