As part of the celebrations of the Centenary of the Birth of Mário Soares, a round table will take place at the Casa do Conhecimento of the University of Minho, on the 23rd of April, 2025, on “Os Livros da Vida de Mário Soares”, moderated by Sérgio Guimarães Sousa – Associate Professor at the School of Letters, Arts and Human Sciences.

 

This event is part of the Casas do Conhecimento Network initiative “Conversas na Casa” and will feature the participation of the following personalities:
• Isabel Soares – President of the Board of Directors of the Mário Soares and Maria Barroso Foundation;
• Maria João Avillez – Author of three works about Dr. Mário Soares;
• Pedro Marques Gomes – Mário Soares and Maria Barroso Foundation; Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon.

 

Present at the opening of the event will be Professor and integrated researcher at Lab2PT/IN2PAST Alexandra Esteves – representing the University of Minho on the centenary celebrations committee – and Professor José Gabriel Andrade, Director of Casa do Conhecimento.
