Project title
Sample(s) of tactical spatial writing in its paracinematic aspect
Abstract
This thesis is structured in three parts: the first explores the possibility of considering experienced space as a place of object-based writing and reading, with special emphasis on artistically prepared spaces in the form of site-specific installations and interventions, and their historiographical and paracinematic interpretations; the second applies the main ideas presented on spatial writing to the study of the urban alteration work ("building cuts") of the American artist Gordon Matta-Clark, artistic interventions in which he drills holes and sections structural parts of buildings, revealing the constructive and use layers of abandoned dwellings; the third focuses on presenting the artistic practice called "Solid Cinema", in light of the perspectives offered in the first two parts, as a form of spatial writing of a historiographical nature and of direct paracinematic experimentation, which can lead to playful action, a pedagogical act, and finally, to a bodily disposition towards the urban and rural environment.
