Social consequences of war conflicts (18th-19th centuries) and comparative perspective Portugal/Spain

Scientific framework

The purpose of the stay is to conduct research in the field of Modern History through a comparative study of Portugal and Spain, focusing on historical demography and family history during periods of conflict. The objective is to analyze the impact of these war contexts on family structures, social dynamics, and demographic patterns in both societies. By examining historical sources and population records, the goal is to identify similarities, differences, and specific processes of social transformation in contexts marked by violence. The results obtained will be disseminated through publication in a high-impact academic journal.
