2025 - COIDARQ. Care, materialities and spaces: Investigation of upper medieval rural societies in the NW of the Iberian Peninsula
The project investigates early medieval rural societies in the Northwest of the Iberian Peninsula from a gender perspective, addressing aspects related to daily life and domestic production. The ultimate goal of this research is to establish a historical-social framework about the people who lived, in the 5th and 11th centuries, in the territory known as Gallaecia, based on the study of archaeological material.
The grant provides for a two-year international stay, the first at the Ausonius Institute (UMR 5607), Université Bordeaux-Montaigne, and the second at Lab2PT and at Archaeology Unit of the University of Minho.
