The project consists of research, museum curation, and content design on the memory of the Portuguese presence in the city of Mogador, now known as Essaouira.

The narrative proposes a chronological framework through the Modern Age and follows two main cycles of the Portuguese presence in Essaouira—the period of castle history (15th to 17th centuries) and the period of diplomacy (18th to 19th centuries)—as a framework for a dynamic debate on historical, social, and built heritage.
